Amity
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Amity is a parent-facing app that helps families track turns and work through everyday conflicts. We collect the minimum needed to make it work, and nothing more.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address, used only to sign you in (we email you a one-time code) and to associate you with your household. No password is stored.
Your household’s data. What you put into the app: children’s first names (or nicknames), a chosen color, and optionally an age range and the kind of connection that suits them best; the turns you track (e.g. “front seat”); turn history; records of resolved conflicts (who was involved, which resolution path was chosen, when); and — if you use the Roots features — your own answers to the Peace Audit reflections and any daily environment notes you log (e.g. “screen-heavy day”). All of it exists so the app can do its job and is visible only to the caregivers in your household.
About children specifically. Amity is used by parents, not children. Children have no accounts, no logins, and no contact information in the app — a first name (which can be a nickname or initial) and a color are the core of what’s stored about them, and only because a parent entered it. We never communicate with children, build profiles of them, or share their information.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. We never see or store your payment details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and purchase status.
What we don’t collect. No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts, no analytics profiles, no tracking across apps. Amity contains no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication), protected by row-level security so only the caregivers of a household can access that household’s data. A copy of your household’s recent data is also cached on your own device so the app works offline.
Sharing
We don’t sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The only third parties that process it are the infrastructure providers above (Supabase, RevenueCat, and our email-delivery provider for sign-in codes), each only to the extent needed to provide their service.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (account menu → Delete my account). If you’re the only caregiver in your household, this permanently deletes everything: children’s profiles, turns, history, and conflict records. If a co-parent shares your household, the household remains with them and only your account and access are removed. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll note it in the app before the change takes effect.
